air-conditioned double bed room for two

Lake is owned by Sri. Jose P.V.,
Puthenpura, a retired defense officer.
Delicious food is served with fresh
river fishes like prawn, karimeen, etc.
at cheaper rates. Tourists are given
provision for self cooking using gas
stoves. It lends on rent motor boats,
speed boats, house boats, rowing boats,
country boats, etc. There is also
provision for rowing, canoeing, water
sports, swimming, fishing using hooks or
nets. Night stay could be arranged in
the specially designed home stay units
or in lake Vembanad in House boats or
motor boats. Coconuts are available in
plenty and so fresh coconut juice is
available as a natural drink. |

Food :
Meals are provided in Puthenpura
restaurant according to each one's taste
and appetite. Fresh lake fishes like
Pearl sport fish or Karimeen, prawn,
crab, lobster, scampi, duck, chicken,
rabbit, kaada, and the like are selected
fresh and prepared as per request.
Chinese, continental, South Indian and
North Indian meals are served. Cooked in
pure coconut or sunflower oil, with
proper ingredients and spices, Kerala
fish curry is quite tasty. Curries
cooked in special traditional Kerala
style Both vegetarian and
non-vegetarian dishes are quite
enjoyable. Fresh coconut toddy is tapped
here and made it available for tasting. |

Boats will pick the tourist from or drop
them at Ernakulam, Thanneermukkom,
Vechoor, Pathiramanal, Kumarakom,
Kottayam, Alaeppy, R-Block, Kollam etc.
The serene enjoyable boat trip takes one
to Kumarakom Bird Sactuary and
Pathiramanal Birds Sanctury two of the
well preserved natural habitats of
migrating birds that attract
Ornithologists from all over the world
for bird watching. It is a haven for a
variety of migrating birds .
